Random Thoughts from the Bruins 2-0 loss to the Habs in Game 1

Could that man end Claude Julien's tenure in Boston? (AP)

The pairing of Seidenberg and Kaberle was terrible, and has been for a while. I think Kaberle needs to play with a McQuaid type because Kaberle leaves the front of the net when he sees a shiny object out of the corner of his eye.

My greatest fear was realized tonight. Carey Price is fully capable of stealing this series. He’s a giant in net and when he has a game like this when he controls rebounds so well, he’s nearly unbeatable. Tonight, he was unbeatable.

Brad Marchand had two or three must-have’s in the playoffs. I chalk it up to rookie playoff jitters but they may have been the difference tonight. On the other hand, Plekanec missed three better chances, so it could have been worse.

Subban and Gill shut down the Bruins top line. They are far and away the top two Montreal defensemen but they aren’t the end all be all. The Bruins top line has to power through on nights like this and create some offense.

The officiating was pretty much fair. Subban’s dive resulted in a power-play but Ryan White’s penalty evened that out. Pretty well-called playoff game. We’ll see if that trend continues in Montreal.

Too early to second guess scratch decisions? Shawn Thornton played 5:10 tonight and didn’t really do anything noticeable.

Are we one day closer to the end of Claude Julien and/or Peter Chiarelli’s time in Boston? A first round upset would all but wrap up their tenures in Boston.

Why don’t you follow a team that the Boston fans care about!!!!!!! The Bruins and their fans are a bunch of losers.
